Tackle Burke’s Kingdom Trails this Summer
With arguably the best mountain biking in the country, Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom has everything you could ever ask for in terms of a beautiful natural landscape for outdoor recreation. It’s easy to lose yourself (figuratively speaking) in the scenery of nature as you explore the remote corners of our region.
After a great breakfast at Highland Lodge and exploring the amazing bike trails at Craftsbury Outdoor Center, head to Kingdom Trails for a truly stellar network of single track cycling.
Established in 1994, Kingdom Trails offers visitors an extensive network of interconnected mountain biking trails around Darling Hill, East Burke Village, and Burke Mountains. The trails wind through wide open fields and thick forest for an experience that can be enjoyed by any ability level. Some of the network’s more difficult trails and jump spots include Tap n’ Die, Sidewinder, Troll Stroll, Kitchel, Coronary Bypass, Pines, and Webs. For beginners, stick to the trail named Chutes & Ladders.
If you need rentals, gear, services, or a cold beverage after biking, visit the Village Sport Shop Trailside. If you’d like to take lessons or a guided bike tour, give Kingdom Experiences a call using the information below.
